There are three kinds of Trogs that you will fight - Warriors, Knights, and regular ones. The later parts of the underground river are populated by the Trogs. You can attack it from a distance to avoid most of the damage. The only other enemy in the first area is a sole Syrrus, a water worm that pops out of the ground and attacks you with a breath weapon. The weird crystal monsters are perhaps the most annoying of all the monsters encountered so far - they like to hide in the crystal patches and they force you to chase them down when you start targeting them (just take them out before they have a chance to move - they are that weak!). Just look out for these three monsters in the water since they are almost invisible when swimming in it.

The same goes for the Slarg and the Lectar. These are tiny, frog-like creatures that have to hop in close to hit you.

The first enemies that you encounter are the Dark Lungers. The monsters here are not that much more difficult than the last batch, but they can swarm you, especially since they are camouflaged.

Keep going south to find the entrance to the underground river.Īs with most areas, the difficulty increases with every level that you get to. Empty your inventory and re-equip your party with the best possible equipment. About halfway to the underground river you will come across a hut. After the Alpine Caverns, these enemies are a breeze. Head south (as always) and beat your way past all the familiar enemies.
